Rheena T. Lomingkit

Associate

Rheena Haya T. Lomingkit is an associate attorney with 10 years of experience in commercial civil litigation.  Since receiving her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law in 2012, she worked as a judicial law clerk in NY, as an attorney in WI, and ultimately as a practicing attorney in California.  Her legal experience spans to about 12 years.

While in Albany Law and as a recipient of the Diversity Merit Academic Scholarship, Rheena participated in law review, moot court programs, and in the legal clinic, where she served mostly indigent clients in the community in various areas of law (healthcare, housing disputes, family law, and immigration law).  Rheena was a research assistant throughout law school to a professor.  She helped with legal research and draft sections of law codified into a treatise.  One example is her work on expanding children rights in court.

From the summer of 2012 to July 2015, she worked as a Judicial Law Clerk in Department of Justice in Albany, NY.  She assisted Assistant US Attorneys in drafting motions, case summaries, depositions, discovery, pre-trial reports, legal research, case investigations, and trial preparation.

She moved to Wisconsin to be with family in 2016.  She took and passed the WI bar, wherein she was a practicing attorney at Godfrey & Khan for more than four years.  She came back to California where she feels more rooted and happier with the weather.  She worked for Resnick and Louis in the summer of 2016 until July 2022.  While at Resnick, she was exposed to considerable litigation experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense, bodily injury defense, premises liability, breach of contract, habitability, motor vehicle liability, construction defects, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.

She moved to Lewis Brisbois law firm, staying from August 2022 to April 2025.  At Lewis, she gained trial and courtroom experience with four jury trials. She is well versed in managing all phases of litigation, from pretrial motions through verdict, including witness examination, jury selection, direct and cross-examinations, opening and closing statements and evidentiary argument.  She represented clients in commercial civil matters: class action and mass tort, employment, intellectual property, complex business litigation, and transportation.

Rheena is an active member of several attorney organizations:  Pilipino American Bar Association (PABA), Filipino Lawyers of Orange County (FLOC), Pinay Powerhouse, and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).

Rheena is an avid reader, a published author, outdoor enthusiast, enjoys the beach and water sports, and loves international travel.

Rheena is licensed to practice law in the states of Wisconsin and California.
