Viterbo L. Valera
Viterbo L. Valera (“Bob”) has 20 years of experience representing major insurance companies in bad faith actions, coverage disputes, claims investigations involving first party property and third party liability claims, as panel defense counsel, and in training claim representatives on the Insurance Regulations.
Mr. Valera received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Finance from California State University, San Bernardino, where he externed as a Quality Controller for Aetna Property & Casualty. He received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was Associate Editor for the San Diego Law Review. Mr. Valera was a Judicial Extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Larry A. Burns of the U.S. District Court in San Diego.
Prior to law school, Mr. Valera was a Fund Accountant for Trust Company of the West, an institutional money manager—where he was on the acquisition team of Continental Insurance’s investment arm, Continental Asset Management.
