Rheena T. Lomingkit
Associate
Rheena Haya T. Lomingkit is an associate attorney with 10 years of experience in commercial civil litigation. Since receiving her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law in 2012, she worked as a judicial law clerk in NY, as an attorney in WI, and ultimately as a practicing attorney in California. Her legal experience spans to about 12 years.
Rheena attended Albany Law School as a Diversity Merit Academic Scholar, where she was active in law review, moot court, and the legal clinic. In the clinic, she primarily served indigent clients in matters involving healthcare, housing disputes, family law, and immigration. Throughout law school, she also worked as a research assistant, contributing legal research and drafting sections of a treatise, including work focused on expanding children’s rights in court.
From the summer of 2012 through July 2015, Rheena served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Department of Justice in Albany, New York. In that role, she assisted Assistant U.S. Attorneys with drafting motions, case summaries, depositions, discovery, pre trial reports, legal research, case investigations, and trial preparation.
In 2015, Rheena moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family and subsequently passed the Wisconsin bar. She practiced at Godfrey & Kahn for more than four years, gaining substantial litigation experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense, bodily injury defense, premises liability, breach of contract, habitability, motor vehicle liability, construction defects, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
Rheena later returned to California, where she felt more rooted and at home. She joined Lewis Brisbois in August 2021 and remained there until April 2025. During her time at the firm, she gained significant trial and courtroom experience, including four jury trials. She is well versed in all phases of litigation—from pretrial motions through verdict—and has handled witness examinations, jury selection, direct and cross examinations, opening and closing statements, and evidentiary arguments. Her practice included representing clients in commercial civil matters such as class actions and mass torts, employment disputes, intellectual property matters, complex business litigation, and transportation cases.
Rheena is an active member of several attorney organizations: Pilipino American Bar Association (PABA), Filipino Lawyers of Orange County (FLOC), Pinay Powerhouse, and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).
Rheena is an avid reader, a published author, outdoor enthusiast, enjoys the beach and water sports, and loves international travel.
