Ellin J. Lee
Ellin J. Lee devotes her practice to representing the insurance industry in coverage disputes, primarily in the areas of directors and general liability as well as professional and general liability claims. Additionally, she advises clients on complex regulatory matters involving Department of Insurance investigations and compliance actions by state insurance regulators. Over the years, Ms. Lee has worked directly with leading Lloyd’s and Company Market claims and underwriting personnel. This work includes the defense of major property claims, risk assessment, claims analysis, and bad-faith actions. She has also successfully negotiated settlements in mediation and settlement conferences as coverage and/or monitoring counsel.
Ms. Lee received her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated with Honors. She attended University of California, Hastings College of Law where she served as Executive Notes Editor of the Hastings Woman’s Law Journal. During law school, Ms. Lee clerked with the Honorable Richard Kramer of the San Francisco Superior Court.
